Roll + Release: Deep Core (Sunday 7/28/24, 3-4:40pm PT / 6-7:30pm ET, Livestream + Replay)

Most of us walk around with our bellies sucked in, breath restricted, lower backs in painful bracing patterns, and pelvic floors tight yet weak. Yeah, I know, me too.

Join me to explore the rewarding discomfort of remobilizing your connective tissue and fascial layers around your entire torso. Learn to breath more deeply, downregulate your nervous system, and rediscover movement in places where you didn’t even know you’d forgotten it.

Self-myofascial release (SMFR) and foam rolling promote flexibility, lessen soreness and stiffness, stimulate blood flow, and support the distribution of a healthy amount of tissue tension. Some yoga postures and functional movement exercises will be featured to integrate the powerful potential for a healthy range of motion that myofascial release can offer.

You’ll leave with a better understanding of your connective tissue, including fascia and its role in the musculoskeletal system, and strategies for keeping it nourished, comfortable, and supple. Learning to tune into the mind of your connective tissue as a meshwork of sensation, support, and lubrication is a wonderful way to deepen your understanding of your body and your movement.

You’ll need these items to participate.
