The Building Blocks of Yoga Āsana

A 12-Part Beginner’s Series

$108

This 12-part technical series of Vinyasa Yoga basics will help you master the building blocks of a lifelong postural yoga practice, with twelve 25-45 minute videos breaking down everything from variations on the “vinyasa” itself (the connective tissue of the practice), to ujjayi breath, to downward facing dog, to crow pose as a foundation for arm balancing, to caturaṇga daṇḍāsana (did you know it was spelled that way?!). You’ll even learn pose names in English and Sanskrit through text on the screen during each lesson.

This class series is intended for advanced beginners, but is appropriate for those completely new to yoga and those with experience alike. Bex’s precise alignment detail and depth of experience in dissecting poses and transitions will have you ready to enter into any yoga class with more confidence, body and breath awareness, and safety. And even if you’ve already got years of āsana under your belt, this is a way to tune up the details of your practice, taking it deeper.

Soma Nidra: Body Tripping through the Communities of You

A 12-Part Somatic Rest Series

$108

This multi-scale body trip in 12 episodes explores your embodied anatomy through gentle movement, Yin and Restorative Yoga, and Soma Nidra, which is Bex’s somatic approach to Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra bridges our conscious and unconscious minds through storytelling and deep rest, and Bex keeps it somatic by grounding the stories she tells in the felt-sense awareness of your body and breath as dynamic processes. We’ll explore our inner worlds through the body maps of western anatomy and embryology as an energetic practice, melting away tension, resting deeply, and shining the light of our awareness on the mysterious places within to see what they have to say when we cultivate deep listening. These classes are appropriate for all levels of yoga and can be practiced as a series or individually in any order.

Classes include Cellular Breathing: Gravity and Metabolism, River and Riverbed: Bones and Connective Tissue, Networks of You: Fascia and Fluid, Song over Water: Breath and Blood, Hydrostatic Support: Your Organic Body, Nonlinear Dynamics: Endocrine Emanations, Self-Modulation: Your Nervous System, Ocean of Connection: Your Muscles, Rivers of Stars: Neuroendocrine Integration, Pratyāhāra: Growing Sensory Systems, Your Deepest Self: Subcellular Neighborhoods, and Self-Knowing: Eukaryotic You
